Groundling Games: February 2010

http://www.groundlinggames.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 26, 2010. A play within a play. From an aesthetic viewpoint, building a theatrical set that depicts one fictional world, and placing that set within a theater that depicts a totally different fictional world presents a couple of challenges. Most importantly, each world must maintain its own unique identity without clashing with the other. Addison's birthplace- Eva's lab- is nestled somewhere in the shadow of a vertical metropolis. My original concept was a single-level set with two e...

Groundling Games: July 2010

http://www.groundlinggames.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 30, 2010. Back from the Black. I know it has been some time since my last post. In fact, it has been far too long. Whenever I have a spare moment from the busies of life and work on my side projects I see 2 options: I can either blog about what I am doing or I can get more of what I am doing done. Unfortunately, I typically see the latter as being the more productive action. That said, Robot. I really do have a lot of really creative and talented friends.). Is randomly selected. This dim...

Groundling Games: June 2010

http://www.groundlinggames.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 16, 2010. The Writer of Things. I never know how to write introductory posts that aren't lame, so let me try to keep this short:. I am the Writer of Things. I've been brought onboard here at Groundling Games to script Robot. Although I've done some spec dialogue work here and there, my primary background as a freelancer writer lies in the tabletop roleplaying industry. (You can check out my online Bibliography. The Derelict Carrot: December 2009

http://derelictcarrot.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

As usual, I waited until the last minute to make my Christmas cards and gift tags. Fortunately, Dad (professor Robert C. Brown) had been looking for an excuse to try out his trusty new watercolor set, and so we found ourselves busily making art on Christmas eve. He painted the tags as I finished drawing them, and I even managed to coerce him into painting his own card! Who needs Hallmark anyway? Painting credits: Robert C. Brown. Final figure drawings of 2009. Labels: childrens book illustration.

The Derelict Carrot: More geese

http://derelictcarrot.blogspot.com/2009/12/more-geese.html

Finished full-color cover and penciled interior illustrations for the goose project. I scanned the last two drawings before adding value, and I plan to add color to them in the near future. Labels: childrens book illustration. Love the tree house, although once I saw the slats of the door as teeth and the windows as eyes, it took on a rather sinister appearance. I dont trust that tree. Really nice clouds on the cover. The faded map is neat. Olivers face on the cover is also nicely done.

The Derelict Carrot: Groundling theater geometry

http://derelictcarrot.blogspot.com/2010/01/groundling-theater-geometry.html

My current "Robot" task is to model the Groundling theater. The base symmetrical geometry, weighing in at just under 7000 polys is nearly complete. I will start work on the asymmetrical bits next, followed by baking details and painting textures. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pixelchef logo - rough draft. The Derelict Carrot: More from life

http://derelictcarrot.blogspot.com/2010/04/more-from-life.html

All 15 minute poses this week. I remain frustrated with the quantity of information I am able to record in the time available, specifically with respect to light and shadow. If we moved to 30 minute poses I might be able to more clearly indicate form, finish hands and feet, etc. (I refine my linework at the conclusion of each pose.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Groundlings

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Saturday, August 3, 2013. This is it. I've finally reached the conclusion of 8 years of Groundlings. I've decided to call this particular blogging venture to a close since I'm leaving for college at Columbia. I thought that the best way to do that would be to write a short list of the things that I'm going to miss once I leave South Florida. At the end of every year, I having a tradition of doing a "best bits" post. Music with my sisters-. Seeing all the shows there are to see-.
