Our Life Against The Grain

Saturday, April 12, 2014. Because sometimes you need a little reminder of how fast these babies of ours change. This was not even a year ago when Nate and I took the girls camping at Bonham State Park. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Ever watch an episode of The Wonder Years? You know how throughout some of the shows they sprinkle them with home videos? Not only were our older two showing Winnie the ropes of downhill bike riding, but Nate was home to witness it! What was even cuter than the toddler cruising down...

Our Life Against The Grain: August 2013

http://www.growingupcampbell.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 31, 2013. Jesus was visiting the Nephites; this was the part of the Book of Mormon that seemed to really get the girls attention. We were on fire with our scriptures tonight! Piper and Charly were anxiously asking and answering questions while Winnie looked at the picture and said, "Jesus" a few times. It wasn't even a minute later from this great gospel discussion with the girls, when Nathan drew our attention over to look at our little babe. Bet you are wanting to know, huh? Making che...

Our Life Against The Grain: Get Your Derby On!

http://www.growingupcampbell.blogspot.com/2014/02/get-your-derby-on.html

Thursday, February 20, 2014. Get Your Derby On! Last week, before we headed down to San Antonio, the girls and I went to our very first Pinewood Derby. Did I say Pinewood Derby? I meant to say, Outlaw Kicking Butt Derby! I hung my head low knowing that Charly's thoughtfully painted car had not a chance of winning. Oh well, there is always next year, right? I seriously could not believe all the extra enhancements these cars had when they showed up for the race. How did Nate not know about this? Next year,...

Our Life Against The Grain: October 2013

http://www.growingupcampbell.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 13, 2013. The Way We Were. Just for fun, I thought it would be cute to share how we told our family we were expecting Winnie. Click HERE. To see that post. How in the world has three years gone by so quickly? Photo Heard Round the World. I am the worst secret keeper, anyone can tell you, especially when the news is so beyond exciting that my head feels like it may burst just typing this! First, I told this hot little bow-tie wearing hubby of mine. Isn't he just the cutest? The unsuspectin...

Our Life Against The Grain: This is Me

http://www.growingupcampbell.blogspot.com/2014/03/this-is-me.html

Monday, March 24, 2014. So basically, I just spent ten minutes venting in my private journal about things that have been really bothering me lately. Sorry, but for you guys, this is the only clue you will get on that note. For realz, no one wants to read that and I'm hopeful that when I am done growing our delightful little Sir Ephraim, I will find my writings laughable. Who knew it would come in handy for me now. 0-This is our family. 1- Seth is growin’ up. 3-Emma’s Got Spunk! 5- Lil Xander Ray. 6- My 100-day challenge. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all. Gracie -full name Graciella- was born mild tempered, but that didn’t last beyond 12 months. She was the best baby. She just chilled and went with our already crazy flow. But her strength in personality and headstrong nature soon reared forth. And yet, she can be incredibly sweet and loving too. Gracie will be 4 next week although for so...

http://thomasbucknerjones.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 28, 2009. We've happily welcomed in the spring and summer produce season, and have been eating out of our garden and local farmer's markets. Strawberry harvest has come and gone (and man, we were up to our elbows in strawberries! Now cherries are ripe, and apricots are soon to follow. Our peas are almost gone at home, and the cucumbers are covered in tiny cukes! We picked tons (40 lbs! We hit up the first market of the season with my friend Angie and her two kiddos, Nevada and Elijiah. Bucky...

http://thomasbucknerjones.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Happy Earth Day everyone! It's hard not to enjoy such a beautiful day we have here. Spring has finally come, and it looks like summer is right around the corner. We went from snow showers to 70's in just a weekend. Ty in his best on cue, cheesy smile. Our family has worked hard the last few years to minimize our impact and carbon footprint. We've made some big changes, and have a few more big goals as well. We have:. Switching all our 'beauty' products to homemade. We drive int...

Hello From Utah: January 2009

http://thomasbucknerjones.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 31, 2009. After two days of traveling, we made it to the Bahamas on Wednesday. Tues. we flew to Miami and stayed the night, then met Nana and Granddad there Wednesday to fly to Georgetown. The island is gorgeous, and the weather has been perfect. Ty LOVES the water (GA, he's kicking around like a pro! Even trying to paddle a bit) and ADORES playing the sand. He seems to want to "sample" sand from every beach. What is it with kids and eating sand? Is it the salt? Meredith, Bucky and Ty.

http://thomasbucknerjones.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 9, 2009. We've had visitors galore around here lately. Hammah came a few weekends ago and we all had a blast with her. Highlight of the weekend was definitely the Xterra bike race that Ty entered. I am happy to say he finished, wasn't last, and enjoyed every second! Among many other fun presents, Hammah brought a football helmet and uniform. Ty LOVES it! On the way to the bike race. At the start line (blow these photos up and you can see Ty). Start of the race. Loving the bouncy room.

Growing Up Bulldogge

A daily journal about Ollie, our Olde English Bulldogge puppy. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Where Did The Time Go? So the title of this blog states that this is supposed to be a daily journal of my puppy's life. Well the last time I posted was August 5, 2010, I would say that's a lot more than a day. Ollie is now 8 months old and he has calmed down a lot. He has been an amazing addition to our family and I would recommend the breed to anyone. I still recommend this breed but would caution anyone looking in...

Our Life Against the Grain

Thursday, April 18, 2013. T-Ball, Take Two. Last weekend we got to watch Piper in all her cuteness while she played in her first T-ball game. She was seriously awesome! While Piper doesn't fully play like an all star yet, her delivery of the plays was something to remember. As she was running to home plate she had the confidence of a seasoned player. Not only did she arrive safely to home, but she stopped and stood there with both hands on her hip to take it all in. Cutest thing ever! Links to this post.
