Growth Chart Moments: March 2011
http://growthchartmoments.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. There’s a Road in Our Family Room. Today, while I was reading through my many blogs. I found this post. At The Mother Huddle. That showed what a mom did with masking tape and floor space for her kiddos. I fell in love! So I went to the store today and bought some painter’s tape. With my floor being the color of dirty-beige, I didn’t think regular masking tape would have as much of an impact as blue painter’s tape would have. . I LOVE how this road turned out! Friday, February 3, 2012. I’ve been out of this Foto Friday thing for a while. It’s fun to join in, but I just haven’t taken the time to do it in a long time. This week’s theme is HANDS. . This picture was from last month, but I took the same picture last year. If I don’t lose that little front loader, I’m planning to take this picture every year. Here’s what we have so far:. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Not only was this Memorial Day weekend, but it was also my birthday weekend. Actually this was Rick’s and my birthday weekend combined. His birthday was back in the middle of the month, but I’m a kind wife, so I share my birthday weekend with him. I have to show you the card my mother got me this year. How she ever found it, I don’t know, but it’s perfect! 160; (except for the 200,000 part. Mine is more like 20). My sister and brother-in-law. Of course my mom came up for the da...

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. What’s Been Going On? Well, here’s a picture (or 11) of what’s keeping me away from the computer these past few days. And it’s also what’s going to keep me away for the next few days. Maybe weeks. Who knows how long this will take…. This is my living room furniture. All in one big ‘pile’. Rick’s pulling up all our carpet to put down new hard wood laminate flooring. . Yellow. One of these yellows. (the colors are crappy in the picture). Yes, we’ll have mismatched ...

Jan 31, 2011. 5 Very Unimportant Things. Here are five very (un)important things I did this weekend. 1 Ended my sweets fast! Oh yes, I did. Hallelujah and pass the plate of Twinkies. My fast was supposed to end on Sunday. My fast ended on Saturday night. Do I feel bad about this? Why no, I do not at all, but thank you for asking. Because on Saturday night my fast ended with my mom's homemade chocolate chip cookies. And I washed them down with a coke float. And God said, "It is good.". Well, they're right!

Posted by Liz on July 21, 2010 in Benjamin. This summer has challenged me to try (and learn) new things. I have been motivated to try out my sewing skills again. After reading my friend Amanda’s blog and seeing her try things with her new sewing machine, I decided to get mine out of the basement. In my extra time, I’ve read many craft blogs and gotten some creative juices from them as well. Other posts by Liz. July 29, 2010 at 9:24 am. That’s when I went out and bought a heavy duty needle. One year . . . already? Posted by Liz on April 25, 2010 in Benjamin. One year ago, we were anxiously anticipating the arrival of Benjamin. I remember spending Friday night watching the clock and timing contractions. I remember a sleepless night between the bed and the couch. (I realize now that night was only preparation for the year to come.) I remember that Saturday was the hottest day in April last year. Honestly, it was 85 degrees! What a wonderful first year we have had. I will post birthday party p...

Our week in a nutshell. Posted by Liz on April 29, 2011 in Benjamin. What a fantastic week! Of course, we started the week off by celebrating Ben’s second birthday with my family. He’s had lots of fun playing with his new “scoop” (aka – excavator) and bulldozer. We will finish the week off with another birthday celebration on Sunday with Aaron’s family. (Ben will share the party with his cousin Averie and grandma.). Other posts by Liz. Our videos on Vimeo. Wallace family photo gallery.

Posted by Liz on January 15, 2011 in Benjamin. Tonight at dinner Ben was eating an English Muffin and kept pointing and grunting toward the table. I kept asking him what he wanted and he kept pointing and grunting (toward the stick of butter). I asked him again what he wanted and added “use your words”. It’s been a while. Posted by Liz on September 15, 2010 in Benjamin. So, I guess I’ve been neglectful on the blogging side of life. But that’s what happens as life happens. Summer is officially over and school has begun. Ben and I are working through the fourth week of school. (Almost 1 whole month with a new group of kiddos! He loves to grab the pen and click on the computer icons on the board.) The board is one of the first things he goes to everyday in the room. Other posts by Liz. Our videos on Vimeo.
