For some reason EPIK will tell incoming teachers the city or province they’re teaching in before they arrive but refuse to tell them/us what age, grade and schools we’ll be teaching in. The last Friday of orientation we were all loaded onto a bus and taken to the Daejeon Metropolitan Education Office which was about an hour to an hour and a half away from Jeonju University. My visa didn’t arrive today so after much freaking out I was able to get ahold of the tracking number for my express envelope which has a guaranteed delivery date of tomorrow before 3 pm. Back to the Motherland. Is that a frown? I’m in Korea! February 15, 2011. My visa finally came about half an hour ago. So excited and with less than 24 hours to go. I pretty much did a standing backflip when the mailman came to my door (and no, I didn’t punch him.) I’m pretty much all packed except some last minute stuffs…meaning I just need to shove most things left into my carry-on bag. I should be packing my bags to go see my brother in Houston right now, but instead, I woke up this morning only to find that my flight got canceled! Great this ginormous blizzard is slowly ruining all of my plans, one by one. Super annoyed right now. I thought my stresses were over after I finished up everything for Korea! I guess being home this weekend will give me more time to prepare, but I was really looking forward to my weekend in Houston.
