Grumpy’s early modelling history traces a path that is familiar to most modellers. In the mid sixties it was Airfix 1:72 aircraft and 1:32 cars. Then, in the early seventies, I discovered larger scale cars first a 1:16 scale Beetle (a birthday gift) and then a Monogram 1:24 Bugatti Type 35 (bought with my own money). Just as the paint was drying on the Bugatti, it hit me bigtime rock music and girls! Suddenly, modelling dropped from being my number one priority to around number 412! ADDED 22 JULY 2015.
