Sunday, April 27, 2008. I have been thinking a lot lately about what drives people in the direction of accomplishment. Is it a hereditary part of nature? Or maybe even both? I have been concerned that Larry will wonder why the hurry on the cleaning and remodeling but like I said, I suppose it is drive for accomplishment coupled with my impatient nature to want to get things done in the quickest time possible so I can move on to another project. Did I just commit to creating more work for myself?

After 15 years of walking into my house through a boring, run of the mill, ugly, metal, front door, I made a decision some time ago to replace that door and install a new better looking door, one that has a little panache. My brother, Keith, and my Dad. Had come to town. They were only here for a few days but Keith offered to help me install the door (we hadn't purchased it yet but we had it picked out and we were ready for the purchase.). What do you think,.

Sunday, August 3, 2008. Last week we had my daughter and her family from Colorado here for a visit. . It is too easy to forget just how wonderful it is to have children around. . It is true that there were times when the noise level was a few decibels higher than I am accustomed to, . But it was so nice to have them here. . Saturday, September 6, 2008. Who says I don't have compassion? Recently Larry and I have spent a good amount of time talking and joking about compassion, and maybe my lack of it. I wonder how much compassion a person should have. Is there some kind of a “compassionometer” that we need to be living up to? I understand that I tend not to show compassion as much as many people, especially if compassion is measured by flowery verbage. Don’t get me wrong. I need some compassion.”. You’ll be late for work.
