As a side trip on one of my vocational days we went to visit a Kyudo dojo or training hall on the grounds of the Osaka Castle park area. The practice targets are called ‘makiwara’ which are housed 28 meters across a grassy area from the dojo floor. The bows ‘yumi’ are made out of bamboo. Wind carry flowers away. We’ll see you again. Where am I now? Osaka, Japan…. Really? Kyoto: Fushimi Inari Shrine and Ryōan-ji Japanese Rock Garden. We enjoy tea before we walk inside and sit and stare at the garden. Very peaceful and people just sit and chill out. There were still sakura around. I walked around the border, took pictures and by accident backed off the deck. I managed not to hurt anything. Whew! We ended the day by eating dinner near Gion. What a great day with friends! Kyoko, JC and Kasey. Trackback ( 0 ). Comments ( 0 ).

To Southern Africa and Back - GSE District 7010
To Southern Africa and Back - GSE District 7010. Thursday, May 22, 2008. Back on Canadian Soil. Well our trip has come to an end, and with mixed feelings I do say. Such a long way home and with missing luggage, missed flights and total exhaustion, we are happy to be home enjoying family and f riends. And the things we missed so much. Feeling well, showed us a good time when we were looking for one, and educated us about everything we asked. I have made, and share the experience with those that I love.
