http://blog.pixiehill.com/p/interviews-features-and-other-blabbing.html
Interviews, press, features and other blabbing. Being the socially awkward nit-wit that I am, it seems incredible to have received such lovely attention from such nice people. Here are a few very nice articles, interviews and other bits. County and Quinte Living Magazine (re-printed in Bay of Quinte Living). A lovely article about my messes and Pixie Hill by Veronica Leonard. LOVE the folks at Ruralist and all that they celebrate. So proud to be Ruralist approved :). Mentioned on Nerd Approved.

The Crafty Goblin: Tiny Little Books
http://thecraftygoblin.blogspot.com/2017/01/tiny-little-books.html

I even came up with a tutorial to show you how to make openable books for yourself in video form (check the end of the blog post). Grimm's Fairy Tales themed books. With a whole lot of different covers, some simple and some a lot more complex. I've snuck some fancier ones in there, too, though. Check it out here:. Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.

Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts: Pins for Every Type of Valentine
http://gslcuts.blogspot.com/2017/01/pins-for-every-type-of-valentine.html
Friday, January 6, 2017. Pins for Every Type of Valentine. The plan was to create an organization project. But I don't feel much like organizing. I'd rather get romantical and look ahead to Valentine's Day. So I came up with a slew of simply made pins to suit every Valentine. I've used a variety of Punchelements. I've made them to suit just about every Valentine. There's pink and sparkly for the romantic. And "I am crazy" for my buddy who says this is the reason she is single. Want to make your own?

http://gslcuts.blogspot.com/2017/01/sing-your-own-songan-altered-record.html
Monday, January 9, 2017. Sing your own song.an altered record. As my first post here for 2017, I thought I'd do something kind of different that I've been thinking about doing for a while.I thought that a record would make an interesting round "canvas" for a music-themed mixed media project and this is what I came up with:. I got my record at a thrift store; it was a double set and I paid a whole 50c for the two of them! I added a coat of gesso to the whole piece; I used a sponge to apply it to the bare ...

Sunday, January 8, 2017. Create a fun Calendar shelf. It's time again for another fun project using a really fun product from Gypsy Soul Laser cuts called the " The Memo Board". 1To make this project you are going to first glue all the pieces in the Memo Board set together and let them dry. 2 Then you can use a light chalk paint that matches your paper to cover the front and let it dry and then the back and let that dry. Sand around all the edges to distress them slightly. 5 Find a calendar that fits and...
