Into Turkey and Kars. July 21, 2015. All this hanging around has given me the opportunity to collect some impressions of my entry into Turkey. So, here’s a few pics. Iran: some final pics. July 4, 2015. Just a few pics of the last few days I spent riding in Iran – along the Caspian sea up to and along the Aras river… Days of mountainous twisties and sweeping valleys… bloomin’ marvelous. Do it when you can, you won’t be disappointed. There ARE trees in Iran: mostly Gilan province I’m lead to believe… just south of the Caspian. Mountain top village looking north (towards the Caspian). Just another range along the Aras valley. Out of one frying pan….

June 24, 2015. Just some pics from my early days in Iran (while I have WiFi access). This is a typical sign seen on Iranian roads: commemorating local martyrs of the Iran-Iraq war – they’re everywhere. Also note the lack of trees, except in towns and villages there’s barely a tree to be seen. It’s bloody harsh out there. See any trees? Guess who’s in Iran! Iran so far: some more pics →.
