The idea is that the examiner will give the pupil some directions or tell them to follow signs towards a destination. In this time, the pupil will drive for about 10 minutes without instruction from the examiner. The pupil will be able to ask questions to confirm the direction they are able to go. More information will be forthcoming. All my pupils to be able to complete this new task.

An experienced learner is someone who has been driving for a while - in some cases, years! They may have been 'learning' all this time, others have been 'driving', such is the need to get on and get work that some have just learnt on the job! The second category, the 'Drivers' may already have bad habits. Got into LOTS of bad habits.
