PR and Beyond… →. Environmental Protection…You’re doing it wrong…. April 7, 2013. As a part of my internship I am asked to attend executive meetings which occur monthly. Normally, the room is full of planners waiting to testify their project if the occasion arises. Last Friday was a little different as I did not see such a crowd since the annual meeting. It did not take long to realize the much of the agenda and supporting materials referenced Enbridge’s Line 9 pipeline reversal. What interested me most ...

Environmental Protection…You’re doing it wrong… →. March 19, 2013. If there is one thing that I’ve learned from working for a developer it is that the public will create any reason possible to prevent development from occurring and that they hate the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB). PR and Beyond…. Transit Planning in Toronto. July 15, 2013. I know, we are still talking about it. Still. When I first enrolled in Ryerson University’s School of Urban and Regional Planning back in 2006 (oh I was a wee one) the Spadina extension up into York Region was still in the talks but broke ground by the time I graduated. The, now defunct, Transit City plans first appeared while I was in second year and we, sort of, broke ground in 2009. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. PR and Beyond….

Toronto's disco-era streetcars could be on their way out as early as 2010 and replaced by sleek, new light-rail vehicles, if plans on the table at today's Toronto Transit Commission meeting are approved. TTC chairman Adam Giambrone said the transit agency will present plans today to order new streetcars much sooner, but order fewer of them to keep up-front costs down...
