How to Deal With...: Nursery
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2014/04/nursery.html
Some of the projects were really difficult (never making another slipcover! But I enjoyed the hours I spent on them, thinking about when my little girl would be here. She's beautiful and I am so grateful for her every single day. I had fun working on the artwork, I did the sketches, scanned them into the computer, and painted them using photoshop. I fell in love with this crib, but when I looked up how much it was I almost died. Thank goodness I found it on kijiji second hand! Kierra of The Irvine Home.

How to Deal With...: January 2012
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
First off, I must apologize for my absence. December is always a crazy busy month, and then I was sick for about two weeks (hopefully that's it for this year! But no more excuses! Here's a baby blanket I knit a while ago, and I was waiting to post this until my sister-in-law announced to everyone that they're having a baby! To make one of your own, you can purchase the pattern online here. It's very simple and easy to download after purchasing. I think it's so cute! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

How to Deal With...: February 2014
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Our baby has arrived! We are so happy and so lucky to have her. We ended up having to stay in the hospital, and I was induced right away to help this baby come faster. Labour had started on it's own and had been bearable, but with the synthetic oxytocin, the pains became much stronger and closer together. I couldn't have dealt with the back labour without one of my midwives and Curtis taking turns pushing on my back, they were so helpful. Curtis came in to check on me while I was waking up, and then went...

How to Deal With...: February 2012
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
At times the winter feels incredibly long, as though summer will never come around again! I admit that I can not wait until summer, I can't wait to go swimming, running, biking, or to feel the sun on my skin. While we are waiting for winter to end, I thought I would share one of my favorite quotes:. It is so true that no matter what may be going on around you, you have the power to find joy and peace inside yourself. I made this word art myself, so feel free to download and print it here. At church, our ...

How to Deal With...: Making an Ottoman
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2011/10/making-ottoman.html
Okay everyone, here is a riddle for you. What can you make out of these two items, found on kijiji? As a side note, please do not judge my editing skills by my poorly photo-shopped table picture above. the legs were originally green, but I had already painted the legs by the time I took the "before" picture, and I wanted you to get an idea of the original state. Next, I measured out where I wanted my tufts/buttons to be, and then drilled the holes through the top of the table in those places. I used a sp...

How to Deal With...: August 2013
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
St Maarten - Guenard Family Vacation. For the last couple weeks of July, Curtis and I were lucky enough to spend on vacation in St. Maarten, a little island in the Caribbean. For a few years Curtis has been hinting at a family vacation to his parents, and this year that's exactly what we did, all eleven of us, plus one of his Grandmothers. That's a lot of people! In that last picture you can see one of the guys on their zip line, that tiny speck in the middle. They were pretty high up! After all the effo...

My Baby Turns One {Party Time! When did this happen? I can't believe how quickly one year can go by. We have been so blessed by this sweet little girl, and throwing her birthday celebration was a lot of fun! Finally the day of her party arrived, I had so much fun making decorations and putting them up! They were delicious, fluffy white cake with a brownie bottom, and cream cheese icing, made from a recipe I found here. She is very much enjoying all of the new toys she has to play with. My Baby Turns One ...

How to Deal With...: Making Birthday Decorations and The Best Cheesecake Ever
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2011/09/making-birthday-decorations.html
Making Birthday Decorations and The Best Cheesecake Ever. I need to apologize for promising to post this ages ago, and only getting to it now, a month later! These are the decorations I made for Curtis's birthday. Originally I found the idea for the flag garland on my cousin Charity's wonderful blog: http:/ allthingsbeautiful-charity.blogspot.com/2011/04/paper-banner.html. I stored it all in a ziploc bag, so now we have birthday decorations to reuse over and over! September 6, 2011 at 5:24 PM. The End of...

How to Deal With...: October 2012
http://jennieguenard.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Between photo-shoots today I had a lot of extra time. After taking some hot chocolate and timbits to my sister at her workplace, I decided to go for a walk. I woke up this morning to snow on the ground and in the trees, it was beautiful! It was time I just walked around and enjoyed the view as I took pictures. I did have my camera with me after all! I thought it was about time I start posting rooms of my house, so you can see all the projects I've been working on put together. Other details are the baske...
