21 August 2016 – BBQ at Les Cotils. We had a great BBQ at Les Cotils – around 35 people attended. The weather wasn’t brilliant so most people had their lunch inside. We have asked Les Cotils if it is possible for us to have smaller tables next time – tables of 10 are just a bit too big for hearing impaired people to hear across the table (and not too easy for the hearing either! Then it won’t be long until the Round Table Charities Christmas Fayre at Beau Sejour – watch this space! 8221; We came 6th!

Fire Alarms - Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association

GHHA works with the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service to provide specialist smoke alarms for any household where there is a hard of hearing person. Relying on the hearing members of the family is not a good idea keeping safe IS. Anyone can approach us for help (see our membership page. Or you can contact the Fire Service direct. The Fire and Rescue Service come along to do an assessment, and GHHA pays for the equipment. 2016 Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association.

Welcome to the Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association. It is estimated that 1 in 6 adults in the Bailiwick has some level of hearing loss: we have an ageing population, and people are living longer. The Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association (GHHA) was formed over 32 years ago. We are registered charity number 50. We meet every week to run, eat, drink and have fun. We always meet on a WEDNESDAY night. We always start at exactly 7.00 p.m when the horn is blown. We usually meet at a different place each week. We always have a run (and/or walk) for about 45 minutes. We sometimes have a ‘pit-stop’ about half way. We run 52 weeks of the year in.
