Having had no further upsets with the kidneys for a couple months, I jumped at the opportunity to get cataract surgery, which took place last Thursday. It was $1745.00 dollars more per eye to have laser surgery than the insurance would pay, but the literature on the subject convinced me it would be far less traumatic, so we borrowed.
