Kith and Kin Blog. The image of my grandfather's surname on a storefront window captured my attention as I drove down a Brunswick, Ga. street. My maternal grandfather, Wilmer Grovner, was born and raised on nearby Sapelo Island. So, I was not about to continue my journey without finding out why the family name was on the window. Me to research in the Bahamas, England, Scotland and the Republic of Guinea (West Africa) as well. Ur paths will cross soon.
