Ohio Microfarm: July 2013
http://ohiomicrofarm.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Rain, Rain, go away! The rain just keeps coming. The good news is that the veggies at StonePath are growing like a rain forest, however, the bad news is that the weeds at StonePath are also growing like a rain forest. We desperately need to get weeding, but the rain is making it tough. Our bees are equally not pleased with the situation. Hopefully, we can get some maintenance started tonight. Ohio Microfarm: Why we do it
http://ohiomicrofarm.blogspot.com/2013/06/why-we-do-it.html
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Why we do it. It's been a while since I posted here and I know I need to get consistent. Hopefully, I will be able to keep the blog moving along with all the doings at StonePath. This post will be a short, re-introduction to what we are doing at StonePath, whyt we do it, and what's the point. Some of the people who follow this blog already know much of the answers, but others may not. All of these factors point to, what I believe, is a coming crisis in food production. Similar t...

Broadfork Blog: Meeting Customers
http://broadforkblog.blogspot.com/2014/01/meeting-customers.html
And other affairs of daily living. Sunday, January 19, 2014. In an internet based business, without an actual storefront, it's possible to go a long time and never meet a customer face to face. Mostly I get emails, the occasional phone call and I meet people all the time at Sustainable Agriculture conferences, but this week has been hopping with face to face meetings. Afterwards, we had a wonderful chat and she made all the appropriate notes to relay to her husband on how to make the handles last forever...

Broadfork Blog: December 2010

And other affairs of daily living. Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Solstice Greetings from Planet Earth! Hello Resident Earthlings,. This is your planet writing here. Today's the day all of you in the northern hemisphere have been waiting for; the Winter Solstice! The shortest day and the longest night will be a memory tomorrow as the shadows will be shortening, imperceptibly at first, but cumulatively, as the weeks roll past, there will be a big difference. That's a great step in the right direction to livi...

Broadfork Blog: January 2011
http://broadforkblog.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
And other affairs of daily living. Monday, January 10, 2011. Sometimes you feel pretty small. In my life, I have had opportunities to be in some of the most majestic places in the United States. I have stood before mountain peaks and deep within their crags. I have paddled beautiful lakes and rivers. I have witnessed musical virtuosities and have experienced great art and have stood breathless in the midst some of the most awesome displays of Nature's angry and wrathful weather. Late last August, I got a...

Broadfork Blog: May 2013
http://broadforkblog.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
And other affairs of daily living. Saturday, May 4, 2013. Hopefully, this is the last of the snow for all you folks that are eager to do some broadforking and have been, ahem, held up from doing so. Nature has been cruel to my old neighborhood in Wisconsin and Winter has dragged on and on until you thought it would never end. Good news; it will end. Be strong, as I know you are. Your suffering will end soon and you'll be reminded of the reason you love it where you are so much. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
