Sunday, July 11, 2010. Finally late summer is approaching. Since the 28th of June I've seen four Caspian Gulls and one 2cy Yellow-legged Gull here at Ottenby, Öland in Sweden. Today the first 1cy Baltic Gull showed up, I guess the first 1cy cachinnans isn't far away. Here follows some pix of three (of the four) cachinnans I've seen during the last weeks:. Thursday, February 19, 2009. On Wednesday I'm going to the International Gull Meeting (IGM) in Peterhead, Scotland. In the evenings, several people will have talks and in the days there will be gull watching. The IGM is from Feb 26th to March 1st but I will stay in Peterhead until the 4th, for the gulls. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. IGM on Crete in November. The next (and 10th) International Gull Meeting (IGM) will be on Crete the 24th to the 28th of November 2010. Most of the gulling will take place at Herakleion, where the talks will be on the Natural History Museum of Crete. Friday, April 23, 2010. Rome, Sardinia and Corsica. Finally", me and my girlfriend are back from our trip to the fabulous islands in the South. It wasn't just a birding trip but. what can I say, how easy is it not to birdwatch at islands like that? We saw almost everything we wanted. This includes Audouin's Gull, Marmora's Warbler, Corsican Finch, Lammergeier, Corsican Nuthatch and Barbary Partridge. Are you going there and want some information about good places, write me!
