Station Rose/STR was founded by musician. Visual artist Elisa Rose. After they had finished their studies of media art at the University of Applied Art in Vienna in 1987 with diplomas. From 1988-1991 Station Rose was located in todays (art)center of the city, at Margaretenstrasse 26, in the 4th district. Since 1991 the headquarter is located in Frankfurt/Germany. Digital sounds and visuals are triggered by sequencers. Station Rose improvise live over basic loops, with sound- and visualsworkstations synced by MIDI. We performed at Ars Electronica, Cyberthon and Joypad in San Francisco, Museum of Applied Arts and the Museumsquartier in Vienna, Transmediale in Berlin, Le Batofar in Paris and at Viper in Basel, as well as in every major technoclub in Germany.
