Limatunes' Range Diary: Fight Like A Girl And Other Lessons From A Stabbing
http://limatunesrangediary.blogspot.com/2013/08/fight-like-girl-and-other-lessons-from.html
The opinions, trainings and experiences of a wife, mother and woman with a gun. Monday, August 5, 2013. Fight Like A Girl And Other Lessons From A Stabbing. A few weeks ago I saw this story. I am, in no way, condemning any of Angela's actions. She knows this and I want you to know it, too. She did what she could and she survived. She also uses her experience to empower others. She is a strong woman! But that doesn't mean we can't learn more from her experience to help prepare ourselves. That self defense...

ShootSharp: What pistol should I buy?
http://shootsharp.blogspot.com/2011/02/what-pistol-should-i-buy.html
Being thoughts on the art, science and politics of shooting and firearms instruction. Sunday, February 27, 2011. What pistol should I buy? Of the 300 plus people who have taken my classes, probably close to half don’t yet own a pistol and are taking the class, at least in part, to learn about different pistols so they can make an educated purchase. I used to give a very quick and specific answer to this question. What is the pistol for—self defense or hunting, fun and relaxation? Pistols can be purchased...

ShootSharp: ...which 'Fundamentals' are most fundamental?
http://shootsharp.blogspot.com/2011/01/which-fundamentals-are-most-fundamental.html
Being thoughts on the art, science and politics of shooting and firearms instruction. Friday, January 28, 2011. Which 'Fundamentals' are most fundamental? Depending when and where you learned to shoot, you might be familiar with “the Shooting Fundamentals,” or at least some version of them. We NRA Instructors not long ago received a “new, improved” list to teach in NRA sponsored classes. So how could the ‘fundamentals’ change? The act of shooting seems simple. For some it is absolutely unbearable. The NR...

ShootSharp: March 2014
http://shootsharp.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Being thoughts on the art, science and politics of shooting and firearms instruction. Sunday, March 9, 2014. To be armed is to be free; a lesson from some kids. Today’s life lesson was taught by three 12 year old boys whose father brought them to the range to meet me for some shooting. It was the birthday of one and this was what he wanted most (since his mom doesn’t want to let him have the .22 rifle he so desperately wants.). They were in a hurry. Then we went to the pistol—a 9mm. They were good kids.

ShootSharp: ...the "men's Barbie"
http://shootsharp.blogspot.com/2011/01/mens-barbie.html
Being thoughts on the art, science and politics of shooting and firearms instruction. Friday, January 14, 2011. When you get into guns and shooting, you typically start out cheap—less than $500 for your first handgun. After you’ve been shooting for a while, you realize that you need to get a rifle—handguns just won’t get it for ‘serious work.’. If you start out cheap in rifles, you will be looking at the $100 to $250 military surplus rifles: Mausers, Mosin-Nagant’s, Arisakas, etc. You suddenly wish you&#...

Country Tea and Bullets: December 2011
http://girlswithguns1.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Country Tea and Bullets. Friday, December 30, 2011. Just another sad and tragic reason I choose to carry. Victim's final minutes caught on store surveillance. I am not sure if having a gun would have prevented it, but I like to think that it would have. Especially if she had shot him with it. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. This is not news to most of us. More and more women embracing gun ownership. This is a nice and respectful news article about how women that like guns can also be "girly! Then I decided...

Country Tea and Bullets: A great first day of Spring Break!
http://girlswithguns1.blogspot.com/2012/04/great-first-day-of-spring-break.html
Country Tea and Bullets. Monday, April 2, 2012. A great first day of Spring Break! It started kind of rough since I had to run to the big box store to replace my clothesline since our dryer decided to stop blowing hot air last night! I am not worried, DH is very handy and will figure out what needs to be replaced, but until then we will be using the clothesline. After getting the clothes out on the line I got my range gear together and off I went to meet up with my friend A Girl and Her Gun. We chatted a...

Country Tea and Bullets: April 2012
http://girlswithguns1.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Country Tea and Bullets. Thursday, April 5, 2012. Just like a female. I have changed my mind about not changing the URL for this blog. :-). I decided that the short time of discomfort of changing all the links for my new blog will be worth it in the end. Here is the link to my new blog address: http:/ countryteaandbullets.blogspot.com/. I have exported/imported all the posts from here to the new blog, so soon this one will be just a memory. :-). Wednesday, April 4, 2012. At the range today. The range was...
