Scale mail gladiator arm sleeve replica armour - Hacksmith Industries
http://www.thehacksmith.ca/2012/07/scale-mail-gladiator-replica-armour.html
DIY / How To. Scale mail gladiator arm sleeve replica armour. Posted on: July 26 2012 / Written by: James. What started as a simple patch of chain mail ended up like this. A combat grade armoured gladiator sleeve made of stainless steel, thick cowhide leather, and some brass. Modeled by my lovely friend Jack the mannequin. As you might of noticed in my previous gladiator piece. I got inspired by the tv show Spartacus. I bought some scrap pieces of leather from a fabric store to keep the piece authentic.

This year I was asked to speak at the Career Education Council’s Annual Business and Education Partnership Breakfast, where I gave one of my biggest speeches yet — on the topic of Innovation and Inspiration! It was my first serious speech in front of a big audience, and I think it went quite well! I definitely have lots to improve on for public speaking, but the audience response was fantastic. For now… an...

DIY / How To. Spiderman replica costume part 1 – The mask. Posted on: August 7 2012 / Written by: James. As you might have noticed, I love Marvel superheros. So I decided I’d give making a replica spider man costume a shot. I’m an avid rock climber, so I could definitely have some fun with this. See Part 2 – The Torso here. Part 3 – The Sleeves here. And Part 4 – The Boots here. These are similar to the one I got – it’s basically a glorified Morph suit. First thing I did was remove the hem at the bottom.

GPS car dash mount - Hacksmith Industries
http://www.thehacksmith.ca/2012/07/gps-car-dash-mount.html
DIY / How To. GPS car dash mount. Posted on: July 1 2012 / Written by: James. I always wanted an integrated GPS unit in my car … so I decided to make one! So here’s how I did it…. I removed the little storage door from my center console unit and grabbed the GPS and the mounts that came with it. Turns out the cover of the door just comes off! This means I can revert the modification at any time if I want! Had to grind down a screw so it wouldn’t hit the GPS. Attached, but not very stable! Hope you have 3G.
