Erickson Etchings: Merry Christmas #1
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013/12/merry-christmas-1.html
Wednesday, December 25, 2013. We want to wish all our family and friends a wonderful Christmas Day! We are so blessed to know the babe who was willing to be born to be our Savior. I read this morning from John 3:16-17 and was impressed again that this indeed the message of the season.God gave so that we might have Life! And that truly calls for rejoicing! Merry Christmas to all from us! We were able to attend three Christmas services this year. On the 23rd, we went to the Mariners Church. Baby Boy is One!

Erickson Etchings: April 2013
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 10, 2013. On Friday, right after I finished work, we headed to Riverside for the day. Because of the Mission Inn, the city of Riverside has adopted the symbol of the rain cross and the mission bell as it's motif. We saw this symbol everywhere in the city. The Mission Inn was our destination that afternoon. We have visited this historic place so many times and on so many occasions, and seen it decorated in many ways. This time we saw it in a its spring beauty. We were forbidden from takin...

Erickson Etchings: May 2013
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 23, 2013. We have had a lot of visitors this spring! No, they don't usually come by the bus load, but one weekend it actually did happen! We were honored again this spring by a visit from the Hillcrest choir from Minnesota. I guess that we are getting older, because these kids are younger looking all the time! We had a very good attendance at the concert, and the choir did a great job. It was also exciting for us to visit with so many Hillcrest Alumni who came to the concert. First, we stop...

http://jmerickson.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Jim and Marilyn thank you for stopping by our site. We hope to give you a peek into our lives here in California. And we love it when you leave comments! Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Our first grandchild turned four today! But we celebrated his birthday on Saturday.) He loves doughnuts, so his party was a "Cars" Doughnut Birthday Party! His cake was a huge doughnut. Being the social butterfly that he is, he wanted all his friends to come to help him celebrate. And celebrate we did! Next, came the presents.

Erickson Etchings: September 2013
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 22, 2013. Off to the Beach. On Tuesday afternoon, C had her first visit to the beach. The day was overcast and slightly cool, compared to the previous days. But we were happy to be there with the little one. She took off the minute her little feet touched to sand. So many birds to chase. So many "treasures" to find! Only once did she get upset over the sand between her toes. Because the day was windy, we saw many people flying kites. We had a lovely day at the ocean. J was thrilled to s...

Erickson Etchings: December 2012
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. Saturday was a hot 85 degree day, but a cold front moved in overnight and Mom's last day here was a cooler day. After church and lunch, we headed for Laguna Beach. We knew that Mom would be going home to a snowy winter within 24 hours, so it only seemed fitting that we make a trip to the beach before her departure. The day was windy and cooler, but the ocean was relaxing and beautiful. Enjoying some of the many sculptures along the walkway. We stayed to watch the sunset. After ...

Erickson Etchings: June 2013
http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 27, 2013. Time to Say Good-by. Every day we took at least two walks! Little miss loved to be outside. If she felt we weren't paying enough attention to her and she wanted to go out for a walk, she would bring us our tennis shoes and then point to the door! Who needs to use words? Every little seed, leaf or stick would capture her attention. We would always make enough time to sit and relax a bit. And maybe tell Grandpa how much she loves him? Ok, little one, you totally won our hearts!

http://mjerickson.blogspot.com/2013/10/midwest-travels.html
Thursday, October 10, 2013. Jim travels back to the midwest twice a year for church board meetings. It is a business trip, but it also allows him time to spend with family and friends. This always includes time with our special grand nephew and his parents. It also gives him a chance to celebrate his little sister's birthday! Jim also had a short visit with my folks, and Dad was very alert and even conversant that day! So fun to see how she loves her daddy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Checking ou...

Erickson Etchings: March 2013

Sunday, March 24, 2013. In January, our youngest grand-daughter celebrated her first birthday. It's hard to believe that just a year ago I was enjoying this little girl as a newborn. Time goes by so quickly! We loved you little one, and wish you lived closer by. We are so thankful that we can skype with you so often and see you growing up. A couple of days later, our oldest grand-daughter celebrated her 4th birthday. We even managed to get a pretty nice family photo! Bribery with chocolate does wonders!
