I changed the image at the top of the blog to this:. This is a frame from QuestionableContent.net. There were two big real comic events today: Superman Returns and the Spider-Man 3 teaser trailer. I actually saw Superman Returns, and was blown away. The score was fantastic, and I am once again convinced tha...Comic...

http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/06/no-news-short-post.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Friday, June 30. No News, Short Post. I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it.". I changed the layout again. There wasn't anything interesting in the news today. News is always better early in the week. I got my camera back, but I couldn't seem to take the photos I wanted to. Overall, a very short post. Oh, that reminds me. I added some flickr. Photos to the bottom of the blog. I'll make neat borders for them at some point, but for now at least they're there.

http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/08/trying-to-stay-current.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Thursday, August 17. Trying to stay current. The true secret of giving advice is, after you have honestly given it, to be perfectly indifferent whether it is taken or not, and never persist in trying to set people right. Hannah Whitall Smith, 1902. I guess this is the rest of it. I started blogging on SoulCast. I got new shoes. That wasn't what I wanted to talk about, but now I remember what I did want to talk about. I finished reading Count Zero. Posted by Nick @ 1:35 AM.

A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Wednesday, June 28. Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers. The most profound statements are often said in silence. I had a long day. In the Shade: Slow Down and Dancing
http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/06/slow-down-and-dancing.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Thursday, June 29. Slow Down and Dancing. Mood: Wet (its raining). Nobody can tell you if what you're doing is good, meaningful or worthwhile. The more compelling the path, the more lonely it is. I feel like I'm getting burnt out with all this news-type writing. I feel pressured by myself. Theres also a great video about this guy dancing. He has really inspired me. Why spend time wandering the net and finding links and trying so hard to be interesting? Has my camera and ...

http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/07/what-happened-to-going-to-bed-early.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Thursday, July 27. What happened to going to bed early? Its only a few hours since I last posted, but I spent most of them updating the site. I added the summaries to the main posts with a little different formatting. I added all the music I've recently listened to in the header of the page (I'll get a better header that isn't totally obstructed - something simpler). I added a Firefox. Link (cause IE6 hates my layout and I don't feel like fixing it). Calm Before The Storm.

So I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible. William Faulkner (1897 - 1962). Wow, I'm surprised that I found the desire to come back to this. I started this all a month ago, wrote for a week, took one fleeting glance back at it, and then left it for dead. And yeat I have returned. Why? I saw Clerks II last night. I liked it. It offered a...So mu...

http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/07/calm-before-storm.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Wednesday, July 5. Calm Before The Storm. So I haven't gotten anything substantial accomplished in the last few days. I stayed up all night saturday night and played Quake 2 Arena with a bunch of friends. That was super cool. I've been playing that and Unreal Tournament 2004 ever since. http://itshade.blogspot.com/2006/06/tech-news-utopia-and-freedom.html
A subtle attempt at some Web 2.0. Tuesday, June 27. Tech News, Utopia, and Freedom. Overall, I think the last post with Flock went well. There seemed to be a minor issue with an image, but that's not really a problem. I actually did a lot of reading today. Mondays always seem to be the best days for news. I'm not sure why that is, but I have noticed it for the last few weeks. It seems that Digg. Is the new big thing. There was an article in Business 2.0 Magazine about "The 50 Who Matter Now". To me, digg...
