Saturday, May 16, 2009. Where Eagles Dare (1968). Since I came back from Auschwitz last month, I am obsessed about the history of World War II. I remember there was a WWII movie I watched on TV when I was in high school. I don't remember what's the title of the movie, but I remember there were following ingredients in the movie: castle, cable car. Probably many people already know what movie I am talking about. . Google helped me to find what I want: the 1968 World War II spy movie Where Eagles Dare.

Friday, November 21, 2008. Finally, I have a perfect latex working environment on Mac OS X. I've been always using Vim xdvi for latex under linux, and I couldn't work on Mac just because I can't find a perfect Vim xdvi combination on OS X. . I've been able to config it to include all features I need: forward/backward search between MacVim and Skim, bibliography integration, etc. And more importantly, these apps feel light. . With this environment, I can now work solely on Mac. . Links to this post.

Friday, September 05, 2008. 1 some days ago, I saw an interesting news. Saying that cows on farm tends to point their body to the magnetic north based on a study using Google Earth. And today, I took the train back to Delft from Aussois, France, I paid a little attention to the cows along the rail. Indeed, it seems cows align their body more or less north/south. 2 French cows are all white, Dutch cows are black with white strips (or white with black strips). Links to this post. Saturday, July 31, 2010. I watched this fantastic movie last Friday night with four colleagues after a nice dinner on a boat sitting in a canal (at De V). Movies about dreams, or about reality and non-reality, are always inspiring, partly because basically anything can happen in that world. Sunday, August 31, 2008. What will be happening in US for the next 4 to 10 years? McCain becomes the next president of US, and he dies in office, Sarah Palin becomes the first female president of US.
