Things to Do – Pebble Hall Country Lodging
http://pebblehallcountrylodging.com/things-to-do
Pebble Hall Country Lodging. Pebble Hall has a free nature museum, great for young and older. Also, onsite, there are lovely wildflowers for picking with an honor payment system in the shop. Is a small town with old Virginia charm. Much of the land is open, great for farming, hiking, bicycling, and nature watching. There is a small grocery store, post office, two banks, and a couple of small restaurants (one at the airport and a Subway). We are just fifteen minutes from James Madison University. Is locat...

http://ayearinreviews.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Still A(nother) Year In Reviews. Welcome to Still A(nother) Year in Reviews. I'm continuing my year-long endeavor to keep track of and review all the books I read in 2012. I read from different genres and not all of them are new releases, but they're new to me.usually! See the very first blog post for more information. I'd be happy to take requests or recommendations, so if there's a book you're curious about or think I might enjoy, let me know about it! Friday, August 3, 2012. Where Angels Fear to Tread.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Guest Post: Bats, Friend or Foe. The Nature Corner, by Ernie Marshall. BATS, FRIEND OR FOE? Photo by Jeff Lewis. Wild creatures interest us for numerous reasons, sometimes because we find them frightening. Roughly 1,240 species strong and world-wide in distribution, bats make up 20% of mammal species. There are 45 to 48 species in the U.S., the little brown bat, big brown bat, and Mexican free-tailed bat being among common species. Photo by Jeff Lewis. With this remarkable ability ...

Latch on to This: November 2010
http://latchontothis.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Latch on to This. Take hold of that which is truly life. Monday, November 29, 2010. Another blow to gene patents (a good thing). Thankfully another blow has been made against the ridiculous practice of granting patents on human DNA. The Justice Department filed an amicus brief in a case related to patents held by a company called Myriad Genetics that claim ownership of a gene and two mutated forms of that gene which is correlated with the development of breast cancer. An amicus brief. Links to this post.

Thursday, July 14, 2016. Organizing Your Classroom Library. The task of organizing a classroom library can be SO daunting. Where to begin? How many tubs to do I need? What is the best way to sort my books? How can I make it easy and inviting for my students? This has been my summer task and today I am sharing with you how it is going. Please keep in mind, that I am nowhere near done (it will take me ALL summer to organize the number of books that I have) but I am getting there! It truly is an addiction!

I'm still enjoying using the Homeschool Tracker Software, although I'm adding Cozi. Links to this post. Saturday, September 17, 2011. One: A Meme Post.
