Our goal was to recreate Moses’ climb up Mt. Sinai by climbing a similar mountain, Mt. Timna. Sometimes i wish i were a nomad. Land of lakes and volcanoes. One of our first days here, we took a trip out to the masaya volcano, explored a bat cave, and hike up to a breathtaking overlook point. yesterday, we went to the beach at pochomil (my first time in the pacific ocean! Sometimes i wish i were a nomad. Empezando una vida paisa. I arrived in Medellín a week and a half ago, on Thursday. I am volunteering with Open Arms Foundation and working as an English teacher online with Open English to support myself. Sometimes i wish i were a nomad. Empezando una vida paisa. I arrived in Medellín a week and a half ago, on Thursday. Sometimes i wish i were a nomad. So, probably needless to say, olvie and i had a safe (and quite long) trip home. After a couple of days of debriefing at world harvest mission headquarters outside philly, we finally got to go home to our families. I had a couple short weeks before starting back to school. and, well, here i am, back at furman for my final year. I am enjoying my classes, loving my three apartment-mates, and dancing as often as possible. The warm smiles and greetings everywhere i walked.
