Day Two →. July 25, 2013. After a long drive, we’ve arrived in Thermopolis, Wyoming! 8221; This morning’s flight was great. On our two-hour flight to Denver, we got a Dreamliner with self-tinting windows, great entertainment and everything else you could want. Shame we didn’t get that when we came back from England! Tomorrow we are going to the Hot Springs State Park. We are going to have some nice relaxation time before getting in the car for our trip to Cody. Day Two →. 7 thoughts on “ Day One. You are...

August 1, 2013. We went to a ranger Talk. They told us about how fires help forests grow back and help produce new plants and animals. We saw a green cutthroat trout eat a dragonfly and I saw a golden mantled ground squirrel right next to me! A golden mantled ground squirrel looks like a chipmunk except it doesn’t have a stripe on its head. One thought on “ Day Nine. August 3, 2013 at 6:32 am. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Day Nine →. August 1, 2013. We got to the Rockies today. We saw a lot of animals on a nearby ledge. There were bighorn sheep, yellow bellied marmot, pikas and weasels. Yellow bellied marmots are a type of rodent and they look like dirty-gold tailless beavers. Pikas are the fastest and smallest member of the rabbit family and they look like a shortened guinea-pig. Lower down the mountain we saw a moose. Here’s a photo! Day Nine →. 3 thoughts on “ Day eight. August 1, 2013 at 5:55 am. Dave on Day eight.

Day Four →. July 27, 2013. We did some really inspiring walks around some boiling lakes. It got really hot if you stood in the wrong spot because of the steam, which came off the water like smoke coming off a factory chimney. I was kind of nervous having my photo taken because I didn’t want to fall in! It’s a nice hotel that has one fatal flaw – it has no tv and the wifi is $4.99 per hour. So I can’t post any photos till later in the week, but I will! Day Four →. 6 thoughts on “ Day 3. You are commenting...

Day Five →. July 28, 2013. This photo is of a hot spring. The water is acidic and almost boiling and could cause death. A little too hot a hot tub! We saw some interesting animals today. We saw a herd of elk on the green in a village! We got a snack and could see the elk out the window. We saw 5 bears! The first one was on a cliff with her two cubs! Next we saw a bear literally right next to the road! Day Five →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Day Six →. July 29, 2013. Today was our last day at Yellowstone . We went on a mountain hike. At the beginning of the trail we saw a tree that had a strip of bark torn of! We think it was a bison! As we climbed the trail there was some scrambling and a drop of certain death. We had just passed the difficult bit when mum saw BEAR CUBS! Then he needed water. They told me to relax. I said I’d relax when we were in the car. That was the highlight of the day. Day Six →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Day 3 →. July 26, 2013. Everywhere you look there’s something to catch your eye. There are shrubs all over the place. If you’re very lucky you could see bison. I got to see some buffalo really close up. Idiotically Dad left the camera in the boot so he had to get out with bison twenty feet away. The stupid bit was dad put the camera in the boot specifically after mum told him not to! We went into a massive hot tub that we swam in! It was really relaxing but smelt weird. Day 3 →.
