About the club – Gyllyngvase SLSC

We are a club that allows everyone from seven to seventy-seven to get involved in surf life saving, based at Gyllyngvase Beach in Southwest Cornwall. We are a friendly club in a beautiful location, with a focus on encouraging sporting goals and saving lives. You will also be able to train in many other sporting disciplines, to improve fitness and development. There are various run, swim and triathlon sessions that the club provides, as well as the Sunday club morning on the beach throughout the summer.

To join the club, please email our membership secretary. ( membership@gyllysurf.org.uk. As previously notified the Committee has reviewed the current fee structure which has previously consisted of an annual membership fee and the weekly collection of subscriptions at sessions. After consultation and feedback, from 1 October 2015 this system will be replaced by a single annual fee of 120. Pool, beach, turbo etc), therefore, there will be no further collection of subscriptions at any session attended.

This is for anyone who has qualified with a SLSGB Surf Lifeguard award from 2016 or before. If you have previously taken a requal you will need to renew this annually as well. If you don’t renew your award you will have to take the full 40-hour course again. There are 2 opportunities this Spring to take part in the re-qualification. Gyllyngvase SLSC Members: 12.
