Everything Japanese that's happening in Vancouver. Gyoza Bar gelato = delicious evening. Hope you’ve been enjoying the cherry-blossom season in Vancouver; it seems like it’s been an especially beautiful one this year. Turning to year-round concerns: food! I recently had a chance to check out a restaurant that’s been getting a lot of press lately: Gyoza Bar Ramen. This is a long, narrow spot (without feeling crowded) in the space that used to house the Piccadilly Pub, if you remember that! April 16, 2015.

2014 UBC Apple Festival. Photographed by Eric Flexyourhead. Without Masks: Contemporary Afro-Cuban Art.
