Gypsy in Ireland (2000-2003). Monday, February 16, 2009. I moved to a small farming/fishing village in southwest County Cork, Ireland, in 2000 and came back to the US in April 2003. These journal entries are some that I kept and sent to my mother as a way of staying in touch with her and letting her know what my life in Ireland was like. May 30, 2000:.
