The Day Before this Day...: An experiment in quilt binding.
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2015/10/an-experiment-in-quilt-binding.html
Monday, October 5, 2015. An experiment in quilt binding. I am so excited about this one. A lot of time, I will have an idea and it fails, miserably, but this experiment went SO well, I LOVE the finished result! I've not *seen* an actually ruffled binding before, only faux bindings, and the occasional ruched rounded corner. It took 10 times longer to do than a traditional binding but it was so worth it! Would you just look. At all of that ruffly goodness? Ohand the rose fabric? Labels: Custom Boutique DM.

The Day Before this Day...: An oldie, but goodie, Junky snowman ornament tutorial
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2013/12/an-oldie-but-goodie-junky-snowman.html
Saturday, December 7, 2013. An oldie, but goodie, Junky snowman ornament tutorial. I posted this 2 years ago, but thought it was time to share it again, just in time to adorn your Christmas tree! NoIt's not my birthday, nor is it my blog's birthday, but when I finished these cute ornaments I immediately thought of good Ole Frosty the Snowman, and the first words he utters when he comes to life. I'm going to tell you how you can make your very own! And you really can't beat the prices! I got enough hex nu...

Sunday, April 13, 2014. Losing a loved one is a major, life changing, experience. It has been almost 6 months since Mom's passing, and life has started settling into a new normal. I've been re-evaluating many aspects of my life, and my love of writing and sharing my projects, thrifty finds and thoughts have been being neglected. It's time to put a stop to it! So watch out blogosphere.I'm BAAaack! Follow my blog with Bloglovin. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Instagram.

The Day Before this Day...: July 2015
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. The Pianist's table: A before and after. One of the things I have the most trouble doing is documenting my projects. Which causes me to not write the post about the project because I have no pictures, which causes me to not blog at all because I don't have anything to show/tell. I'm going to be better about it. The repair that had been made was solid, so the insert didn't need to be replaced, just given a facelift. Enter our old standby Mod Podge, and some vintage sheet music.

The Day Before this Day...: Don't be Crewel..
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2015/09/dont-be-crewel.html
Tuesday, September 29, 2015. Today was a great picking day! In addition to the gorgeous velvet fabric I shared on my facebook. Page earlier, I also found some vintage treasures. I fell completely in love with these sweet crewel works. They were sitting, unappreciated and forlorn on a shelf with some pretty rad (not) 80's "art". They cried out to me to take them home and give them new life. Their previous owner had used masking tape to bind the edges of the linen (please, please don't do this!

The Day Before this Day...: January 2014
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 17, 2014. So we are well into the new year, and things are starting to feel more settled, but there has been a major change in my family's life, one that I wish hadn't come to pass. On November 1, 2013 one of my boys and I discovered that my Mother had passed. It was unexpected.and in fact, worry after no one having been able to get her on the phone spurred us to go to her home. So, we will go on, I will continue to post, and celebrate the creative spark that she passed down to her childr...

The Day Before this Day...: Long time no posting..
http://thedaybeforethisday.blogspot.com/2010/08/long-time-no-posting.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. Long time no posting. I must be the world's worst blogger! My only excuse is that I've just not taken the time to keep up on the posting. Hubby and I have spent the last 2 months cleaning, building, repurposing and creating and have quite a few completed projects to show for it, I just wish we'd gotten more before pictures! First up is my Fall "wreath". Personally, I think it's perfect! My next project was just finished today. A bit of Mod Podge (royal coat.same thing lol), A...

Monday, October 24, 2016. So, how have you all been? There has been a lot of life happening around here, this past year has been.odd. I won't go into all of that, instead, I will just jump back in with new projects, products and fun! As of today I am making a pledge to myself to keep blogging, if not every few days, then weekly at least! I recently joined a new marketplace, it has a lot of promise so I'm really excited about it! And that is why I am a. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
