Due to a corrupt government and a bad economy, Romania has been left with thousands of abandoned children living in government institutions. Living in these government institutions has left these children unloved and neglected, in need of medical, educational, and spiritual development. H2H is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization in the United States, and is recognized as a non-governement agency in Canada and Romania. H2H is also registered as a charitable trust in Scotland.

H2H ministers through the hands of a full-time missionary staff composed of national workers and international missionaries. Short-term Teams are also vital to H2Hs ongoing ministry. Teams bring fresh ideas, new ministry insight, and extra hands and feet! H2H partners with the local evangelical church in Romania. Many youth from the church assist H2Hs teams as translators. H2Hs Transition Program residents and graduates attend the local church and are involved in local ministry.
