Thursday, June 4, 2015. A Very Full Memorial Weekend. Over Memorial Day Weekend, I had a lovely visitor and we made the most of our long weekend together. From breakfast at The Mill, we headed north on California 1 to Stinson Beach, further north through Point Reyes and then cut over west to Napa. On returning to the city after day one, we caught the sun setting against the Golden Gate Bridge. How do you top that? 8212; William Blake. The weekend concluded with a return to The Mill because nothing beats ...

Sunday, June 21, 2015. This little blog is coming up on its fifth year anniversary. I'm trying to pen down all my thoughts and emotions about this, but my brain is all over the place. Five years, really? A friend recommended that I buy a little cupcake in celebration. Whoo, five years! Honestly, the posts and the photos sum it up. Come July 13th, 2015, I promise a more introspective look at what this all means. Probably nothing profound. but maybe something more cohesive. Cheers! A hodge podge of artists...

Sunday, September 21, 2014. The Marketing Team decided to attend a class on cheesemaking. It was splendid. As is anything involving food. Unfortunately, I am at a loss for how to describe what we did, what we learned, what steps we followed. BUT, I now better understand the passions of little mice. Cheese is good. So friends and family, I highly encourage you to pursue cheesemaking. Thursday, September 18, 2014. SF Street Food Festival. So about a month ago.(Yep! I've been here a whole month. WHAT? And t...

Thursday, February 19, 2015. What To Do With You. What ever shall I to do with you? On July 22nd, I set the foundation for a new blog plan. The idea of field notes experienced a mini "lift-off! Things that give me joy in SF:. Picante pizza from Tony's. Driving along the coast with the windows down. Hikes at Land's End. Melting Swenson's thin mint ice cream. Reading on the rooftop. Sloat garden center in sunset. Bbq pulled pork eggs benedict at Stinson Beach. Playing records in the magic room. I have been...

Saturday, November 22, 2014. We chose the first one randomly: Alpha and Omega. It was good and we were spoiled. We shared a tasting flight, and we enjoyed each of the four wines––the sauvignon blanc, the cab, the chardonnay and the red blend. Tones of bubblegum and cigar box and cedar and winterberries. Friday, November 21, 2014. Ellen and I walked along Stinson Beach and marveled over rocks and sea foam and beach birds and fellow beach goers. It was all quite simple. Thursday, November 20, 2014. Wow wow...

Wednesday, July 1, 2015. To sum up two weekends ago. Morgan came midweek to explore the city, fall in love with the city and make plans to move to the city. After finishing up work on Friday, we spent time adventuring all Saturday. Toast at The Mill, sitting on the big rock at Land's End, the great trip out to Napa (second weekend in a row! Wine followed by fried chicken and salted caramel milkshakes. We made a quick return back to the city, saw a movie, and fell asleep knowing we had a very full day.

Wednesday, July 22, 2015. My parents might be the final readers of my blog. After ringing my father the other day (aka last week), he asked, "So how was Mexico? We haven't seen any photos since July 1st." When I first started my blog, they probably (as in, most definitely) thought it was a waste of time, but five years of documentation and photographs and words have been worth it. Now to the gist of this post. I took a vacation from work! We stayed at the Grand Mayan resort. When we arrived, our room...

Thursday, May 28, 2015. South Beach, Point Reyes. A few weekends ago. sweet Mattie I trekked out to Point Reyes for a little escape from the city. Friday, May 30, 2014. There is power in a photograph and in a story, just as there is significance in simply knowing a stranger’s name. The resulting body of work is a juxtaposition of photographs and art created by men and women living homeless in Austin. This collaborative art and accompanying life stories were gathered in Austin, Texas over a ten-month period in 2013 and 2014. Sunday, May 25, 2014. One day, Ray Ray and Joyce shared news that they were getting married. Thursday, May 22, 2014.
