To Africa and beyond. What’s worse than dragging your boyfriend round the shops on a Saturday? October 10, 2008. Dragging your boss and CEO around the whole of Macy’s in Manhattan. Final purchases were;. Jeans – tried on about 6 pairs, bought one. Calvin Klein dress – carried around for 2 hours and then put back. Comedy designer unwear for my brother – expensive and soooo cool. Handbag – short listed three, then talked my CEO to tears trying to choose one (bought most expensive one). Filed in new york.

To Africa and beyond. June 24, 2008. Two weeks ago I came home, back to England. It wasn’t a quickly taken decision on my part, although the flight was bought last minute and my arrival home saw a few friends and relatives agog on their doorsteps. Since leaving I had my fabulous holiday with the girls, and a very chilled out week in the Recoleta district of Buenos Aires in the amazingly generous Tony’s flat. To the north of Cordoba, I looked for work outdoors with horses. I had an interview, all in S...

A few adjustments later… saddles bags tied on, my home-brought sheepskin in place (to reduce synthetic saddle rub! Sun cream applied and water to hand, we did our first “Saddle Up! 8221; of the trip and set off on a “let’s see how our horses go for us” mini ride to tomorrow’s start point. To Africa and beyond. Mad day in Panama and hellooooo Argentina. February 28, 2008. Well I left Quito…but I’m pretty sure I’ll be back. It was sad, but Patricio took me to the airport and I nearly missed my flight because I did a web check in and arrived an hour before departure, but had luggage (well it didn’t say you couldn’t have luggage! And it was HOT. Soooo hot and humid. Dubai style. So… back into Panama airport… a souless place which somehow exhausts you after just one lap of the shop...2 Kevin a...

To Africa and beyond. More holidays coming up…. April 16, 2009. As if my last couple of years travels weren’t enough, I’ve had (yes, just HAD to, my arm was twisted and all that) to go and book a couple more jolidays. Joliday no 1 is to Spain… Asturias to be more specific. Los picos and cidre, a hire car and the lovely Drew. Should be a good couple of weeks in the relaxing sunshine, pootling, enjoying vino and tapas. Hasta la proxima mis amigos! Filed in England 2009. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

To Africa and beyond. October 5, 2008. Despite being back in England, with permanant work, I’m very happy to report that I’m still able to travel about. Yipeee. Last weekend I braved the best of the North of England’s British transport and headed from Huddersfield to Manchester and then by a Terravision. The unlikely name for an Italian bus company, staffed entirely by Eastern Europeans, operating airport services throughout Europe) service to Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Sunday was the complete 1-day ...

To Africa and beyond. The Lesotho Rescue Ride – part 1. August 4, 2014. Doh I realise now that I haven’t told you anything about the trip to South Africa and the Lesotho Rescue Ride! By the time we’d arrived I’d only had to stop the car, leap out and vomit at the side of the road, twice. Although I was definitely starting to feel better… perhaps getting to know some of my fellow riders was easing my anxiety, or perhaps it was just that I didn’t have anything left inside me.
