Write haikus for all her paintings! 8220;Stonewall Winter” was painted from a photo Jeanne took of a surprise Valentine’s Day snowfall when she and Ric were at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. Frozen, sleepy, curly creek. Winter blues and greens. 8220;Teays Valley Sunset” was painted from memory the day after witnessing a gorgeous sunset while driving on I-64 in West Virginia. On an orange plum rippled sky. Real and yet not so. On the forest floor. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Prints for sale at.

8221; So I start with an idea of what I want to paint, then let my feelings at the time dictate what appears on the canvas or paper. The end result is more of a “mood” than a realistic depiction. When the paint dries, I’m always at least a little surprised. Often I look at a finished painting and say, “Did I do that? 8221; Well yes. and no. But I was PRESENT when it happened! Jeanne K. watercolors by jeanne k: Picasso's Page
http://jkwatercolors.blogspot.com/p/picassos-page.html
My eyes went to one blue on my palette and then another. I mixed them together and. viola! There it was. I felt like Pablo was with me. having a bit of fun. If you think I'm crazy, that's okay. I rather enjoy craziness. I carry in my head some things Picasso has said. my favorite being, "If I knew what it was going to be before I started, then what would be the point? I read something else the other day that he said. "When I paint I feel that all the artists of the past are behind me." So there! I begin ...

They sit on the steps going down to my art studio and watch me paint. 'er wait for food. I dunno. Bodhi gets his way most of the time. one look from those blue eyes and we melt. He's such a good dog. sweet, sensitive, and good manners (most of the time). Baylie was in the shelter for 6 months! She is a sweetheart and she freely gets to sleep on the sofa or bed now, whenever she wants! It's a dog's life! I still feel her soft, sweet presence in my art studio. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
