La Differance: July 2005
http://ladifferance.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Another shot in the dark. Tuesday, July 19, 2005. There's an article in the New York Times today by Julia Moskin entitled Tatooed Fruit Is On Way. Is the increase in tatoos in the last 10 years an evil attempt by the US government to monitor us? Does each tatoo come with an invisible bar code so that people can be tracked? I think the conspiracy theorists should look into this at once! Posted by Rav Shmuel at 1:19 PM. Can Someone PLEASE Lend me $78,000.00? Were in the Space Age now.

Musings and ephemera from the brink . August 25, 2005. In the era of terrorism, both critics of the left and right acknowledge the existence of a continuum between civil liberties and effective counter-terrorism measures- if you increase one you tend to get less of the other. Most of our debates boil down to an argument over where the line between the two should be drawn. Thankfully someone has finally acknowledged the problem. In an op-ed two weeks ago in the Times, Geoffrey Stone argues. This rather un...
