International Missionary Fellowship - The Cistern Project
http://www.haitihospital.org/cisternProject.htm
International Missionary Fellowship - The Cistern Project. We take it largely for granted. What is water worth? I remember when bottled water became readily available to purchase in the cooler at convenience stores. My dad, a stewardship advocate in the extreme, was appalled that anyone would pay a dollar for something that flowed from the tap for free. That was a while back. Now by some estimates Americans spend $16 billion per year on the stuff. In 2001 we started building rainwater cisterns. The recip...
International Missionary Fellowship - The Holy Bible
http://www.haitihospital.org/bible.htm
International Missionary Fellowship - The Holy Bible. Though we can look around us at His creation to see His power and limitless creativity, we need something more to discern His will for us, His plan for our present and eternal lives. God has given us His Holy Word, The Bible. I think that most Americans that want a Bible have one, or five, or ten. Many Haitians who want a Bible do not have one. First, related to The Cistern Project. We discreetly give the pastor of the church wherever we show the film...

Who knows, perhaps we will see some of the same faces among our staff one day. Second photo: Not long after, the second half of the nursing class came to thank Faith for the opportunity. http://4him-in-mole.blogspot.com/2009/10/this-and-that.html

End of a long day.love how green the hospital grounds are with all the rain we've been blessed with. Rich and all his "helpers" starting on the door installation project at the front of the hospital. Little miss Fednaika (I know, it's a big name for such a little person). Laurie with Docilia, widow's home resident who died suddenly a week ago.

Byers family in Haiti. A sometimes regular and mostly pictorial account of our adventures in obedience to God in the Northwest of Haiti. Sunday, July 5, 2009. Happy plants in the garden shadehouse. The flamboyant trees are beautiful right now. Happy birthday (tomorrow) to Tyler, whom you see here working hard on the Fourth of July. It was very hot, as you can see. =). All this stuff had to be unloaded, after they had it all organized and fastened down so nicely. Links to this post. Our home in Haiti.
