The View from the Porch: Kayaking
http://theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2012/07/kayaking.html
The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Monday, July 09, 2012. On Saturday, we headed out for an adventure filled day to the north shore. We first hit the stadium flea market and picked up a couple souvenirs. We rented two tandem kayaks in Hale'iwa town and kayaked up the river under the Rainbow Bridge. Unfortunately, there was no dry place for my camera, but I found a couple of neat picks on google images. Posted by * * *. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). He arrived t...

The View from the Porch: Hawaii Fun!
http://theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2012/07/hawaii-fun.html
The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Thursday, July 05, 2012. Sadly after the luau, Haley decided to take up Nolan's traditional spot on the injured reserved list and broke her toe while walking on the beach in the dark. Her pinky toe was quite bruised but she limped along like a trooper. Here are a few very random pictuers - some from the beginning of our trip on the plane and a few others from the luau. Haley and Daddy getting ready for the Fia Fia Luau. Well things ...

The View from the Porch: December 2006
http://theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Saturday, December 16, 2006. Haley was in a lovely Christmas program last night. She had a solo (and excuse this unbiased mom,) but it was very moving. If I could download an Mp3 copy of it for all of you, I would - unfortunately I don't have a copy of it-YET. But here are some pictures and the words. Angels from on High proclaimed His birth. Tidings of great joy. For all the earth! You shall find the savior that you seek,. On Dec&#...

The View from the Porch: The Fourth
http://theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2012/07/fourth.html
The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Wednesday, July 04, 2012. The Fourth didn't feel much like the Fourth here in Hawaii. We were very surprised! New Years Eve is a huge time of fireworks all around the beaches and everywhere you go. But the Fourth, not so much. We could have gone to one of three large fireworks shows on the islands, but we didn't feel like fighting traffic and people. We finished our trip around the island with a brief stop a Kuola Ranch. A beaut...

The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Tuesday, July 03, 2012. What a wonderful blessing to be able to come back to Oahu! All told, I think this particular vacation would have cost upwards of $8,000 but with points and lots of haggling (is that how you spell it? So far we have just been getting our feet under us. Relaxing by the pool and lagoons and laying in supplies for the week. We are heading to the Honolulu Zoo, Rainbow Drive Inn and Snorkel Bobs today. Up at 5:30 E...

The View from the Porch: A Super Bowl Love Story
http://theviewfromtheporch.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-super-bowl-love-story.html
The View from the Porch. Daily life from our little corner of the world. Sunday, February 01, 2015. A Super Bowl Love Story. I “pinned” it in my mind. That’s what we had to do back then. I knew that if I ever married – and hopefully that dashing Frank – that was the dress I wanted for my bridesmaids. It wasn’t the exact print, but lovely still. And best of all - $19.99 each. Was it possible? Would someone snatch them up? I gave the dresses a loving pat and wished them well. Frank: “ Why do you ask? Frank...
