Regarding diet: If it comes in a box, can or bag, you could probably choose better. Regarding dieting: Don't. Dieting implies a short term approach to a life-long problem. Perhaps I'm stronger for having taken on Pioneer Parkway so many times or maybe my motivation was at a higher level in anticipation of a fun ride. The blister that was raised on my left foot, on the medial edge just above the heel, popped up again yesterday when I finished a 6 mile run. The area was red, and sensitive to pressure.
