I will be discussing encounters with people, not horrific arachnid attacks or Spartan-esque brawls. The Oxford English dictionary defines an encounter with people as to ‘Meet (someone) unexpectedly’ (verb) or ‘An unexpected or casual meeting with someone’. Once people had gotten past the standard Buddhist questions of ‘How long have you practised? And ‘what is your job?
