It seemed like the ice went off the lake quickly this year, going from the normal light grey ice color, to a dark blue color just before it started breaking up early this past week. Ryan’s Morning Ski. Mabel in the Window. February 18, 2015. The cracked corn was piled high in the squirrel feeder this morning and Mabel paused during her play to watch the squirrels fill their cheeks with the feed. We have a slew of squirrels that skitter around the yard and up and down the trees that we enjoy watching.
