May 31, 2012. In making this one, I chose a bold patterened paper background and then layered with a bold dot print, punched iwth the notebook edger punch. A strip of washi tape over that and a tabbed journaling car was put on top. I decided to mat the pics in white to help them pop off the page, and used light grey letter stickers by Amy Tangerine for the title. We're already gearing up for haircut number 3 . which you can see is long overdue (pun intended! May 30, 2012. Project Life Week 19. And here ...

http://useveryday.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
January 31, 2012. You know when you're reading a good book, how you can't put it down? The rhythm of our days, even if they followed many a sleepless night, was good. I figured out that morning naps are better times to fit in my run and, if lucky, a shower too. We met other mamas-n-babes for a winter walk in the park and a post-walk cocoa, so nice. We visited Grandma and cousins. We even fixed a car. January 30, 2012. I officially began training for a half marathon. What helps you get through? A few stor...

May 25, 2011. The Power of O. Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's going to know whether you did it or not.". This is one of my favourite quotes and one that has guided some of my own personal actions in the past. And I think it captures the essence of the Oprah Winfrey Show. Unless of course the show is emotional and then I will because I cry at those types things. I once cried over a bladder control commercial, but alas that's a story for another day),. Or should I say watched?

{Every Day}: April 2011
http://useveryday.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 29, 2011. Sometime soon perhaps . As I note in my profile, I love to play with pots and pans in my kitchen and back in January I set out to check 'trying a new recipe every month for 12 consecutive months' off my life list. The first quarter of the year-long effort went well with moose stew. And cheddar and broccoli soup. Making the journey from stove top to table top. Grilled Chicken Salad with Feta, Corn and Blueberries. Looks fresh, tasty and very suitable for a summertime side. . April 25, 2011.

November 30, 2011. She's in Slings: A Room Reno. We love the dark shade. Of course, it wasn't as simple as that. I figured that if we were going through the process of pulling up the carpet, now would be a good time to update the paint colour on the walls in our bedroom as well. I was tired of the baby poo green shade and ready for something new. It made sense to paint before the carpet came up as we wouldn't have to worry about drop cloths all over the floor. Paint, drip, pull 'er up and replace. As we ...

A lifestyle blog by a self-proclaimed generalist and part-time foodie. The last of summer. Saturday, October 22, 2011. Also known as Black Forest Cherry Cake. A cake I've always enjoyed and admired. One I might never have tried to make on my own (seems like a high degree of difficulty, no? Well, the stars aligned a few weeks ago and it became apparent that I needed to get on it. I know you know what comes next:. Oh yeah. Full-fat. Add some icing sugar to get, well, icing:. Another special ingredient was ...
