The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent: First Bike The Dragstar 125
http://themotorbikesofcotswoldgent.blogspot.com/2008/08/first-bike-dragstar-125.html
The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. First Bike The Dragstar 125. Well, I was on my way, the Compulsory Bike Test had been taken and after lots of egging on from friends I was about to embark on my first bike, albeit a learner it was a two wheeled machine and something that I had wanted to master for many years. The triumph Daytona 500 1977 Europe beckons! But now the time had come for my own machine and what was I to buy? Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.". The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent: BMW 850 GS
http://themotorbikesofcotswoldgent.blogspot.com/2008/08/bmw-850-gs.html
The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. What can you say about the GS bikes? The 850 is quite a rare GS only 2000 were brought in to the UK but spares are not hard to come by as most bits fit from the 1100. My only negative comment would be that coming from a Triumph Sprint the power is naturally a lot less and sometimes it would be quite nice to have the 1150GS as this has a bit more oomph! Hopefully one day soon, myself and a good friend from Cornwall are hoping to do a tour of Europe/Asia, but I am still wait...

The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. This page gives all the history behind the motorbikes owned by Cotswoldgent. Whether it's taking apart an engine or riding, I find I am hooked on this wonderful pastime and would recommend it to everyone. When I started writing this page I didn't realise how many bikes I'd got through in such a short space of time. Is that a bad thing? Incidentally, most of the photographs of my bikes are by Adrian Brown. First Bike The Dragstar 125. The han...

The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent: The Thunderbird
http://themotorbikesofcotswoldgent.blogspot.com/2008/08/thunderbird_26.html
The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. Opyright Adrian Brown Photography. I got the Triumph Thunderbird too early in my motorcycle career; I just didn’t appreciate what I had. The bike is a glorious cross between modern and classic lines. The old school look with modern power, the bike was a beauty and I just didn’t see it. Definitely a bike to cherish and I miss her greatly. Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.". Long Way Round .:.:. Adrian Brown Classic Machines. Been a Radio Ham ...

http://themotorbikesofcotswoldgent.blogspot.com/2008/08/suzuki-dr-350-trials-project.html
The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. Suzuki DR 350 Trials Project. A work friend offered to sell me a bike for my son who had recently passed his test, I had not come across a Suzuki DR350 before and really had no idea about trials/road bikes except for the old Enfield I had, but my mate only wanted a small sum of money and I thought it would do for a first time bike. Well there was me raving about the delights of the BMW GS 850 and wham bam thank you maam, I trade it in for a Bonnie, but what a Bonnie. I...

The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent: Yamaha XV Virago
http://themotorbikesofcotswoldgent.blogspot.com/2008/08/yamaha-xv-virago.html
The Motorbikes of Cotswoldgent. As I have said I liked the cruiser look, I loved the laid back lines of all the cruiser bikes and in particular the Harleys, but there was no way I was going to be able to afford a Harley Davidson so quickly after passing my test. Eventually I had done my early apprenticeship and I was keen to move on to bigger machines and one day I whilst surfing the net I spotted my next bike; underneath the picture on the website was one word, Triumph. Long Way Round .:.:. Keep your bi...
