Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival. The Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival was established in 2003 by a group of interested citizens to help preserve and showcase the rich agricultural heritage of Halifax County, Virginia. The three-day festival is held the first weekend of May each year at the Halifax County Fairgrounds. Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival is May 6 - 8, 2016.

2015 Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival. Pictured is Thomas Tucker of Locust, NC who will demonstrate the craft of woodworking from the 1700 and 1800’s at the 12. Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival set for the first weekend in May at the Halifax County Fairgrounds. Tucker will demonstrate how intricate pieces of woodwork were made using a simple woodturning lathe he handcrafted himself. I demonstrate at 15 events and school programs throughout the year.

The Lord Granville Agricultural Heritage Association was formed in 2006 by 45 charter members to preserve Granville County and the surrounding area’s historical farming heritage. They desired to educate current and future generations by restoring and displaying equipment and agricultural techniques that are part of Granville County’s rich agricultural history. The club encourages family involvement and meets monthly to provide a forum for sharing ideas and common interest.
