This FISH Bead signifies Rhema traveling to other hospitals for care–We call it our Shriner’s Bead! The Courage Bead (Penguin) is a landmark bead which we have for the 1st time Rhema learned to walk; We pray to add another this year as she works so hard at gaining back her walking ability. The 1st AFO Pattern She’s Picked Out! Also during our absence from posting Rhema experienced a 1st! During our last Spina Bifida clinic Rhema picked out her own AFO braces pattern– stars! Now that Rhema’s wounds on her ankles are pretty much all healed up we are anxious to get her back to PT and weight bearing. Rhema continues to excel at her school twice a week! She loves her teacher and she enjoys going to see the “kids” in her classroom. Should I be worried that the one person she talks the most about is a little boy? The biggest surprise came when Rhema went to OT and Mrs. Erica gave her a HUGE smiley face for all her good work! Rhema has added clinic hours of Speech to her already FULL agenda! She has been going about a month now and we are seeing some great progress! When she does a good job she gets a prize; the picture above was her 1st prize. Since then she has gotten a little pony with a brush.
