the green apples: August 2011
http://thegreenapples.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
A tale of two Chicago hayseeds living in the Big Apple. Thursday, August 4, 2011. The first three months. Aaaaand, we’re back. It’s hard to describe the first three months of your first child’s life to someone who’s never experienced it. If I have one piece of advice, it’s never rent a room to a newborn. They're loud, messy, and slow with the rent. By the time Wes was about 5 weeks, our days were loaded with weapons-grade frustration. If they could load that level of frustration into airplanes, and s...

Fussy Ninja: January 2015
http://fussyninja.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The loudest ninja on the internets. Friday, January 23, 2015. There is nothing funny about being woken up on successive nights to the sounds of your kids puking in their beds. Stripping wet sheets, finding big bowls, running the washing machine for 48 hours straight. Add to that multiple days off work due to the ejection of bodily fluids from the other end, and it ain't a pretty sight. It's impossible not to crack up when she yells DIE-REE-AH! Echoes out across the dining room. Links to this post. But th...

Fussy Ninja: September 2014
http://fussyninja.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
The loudest ninja on the internets. Sunday, September 28, 2014. As Derek Jeter plays his last game as a Yankee, I am forced to simultaneously confront two harsh realities:. I'm getting really freaking old. Finn has not done a very good job of positioning himself as Jeter's heir apparent. Just kick the ball. Any ball. In any direction. And kick it hard. And you know what? I think we're gonna like this soccer thing. At least until it starts raining. Which should be right about. now. Links to this post.

Fussy Ninja: April 2015
http://fussyninja.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
The loudest ninja on the internets. Thursday, April 30, 2015. It would appear that we have a rhino problem. I have no idea where it came from, only that one night a couple of weeks ago, Edie announced at dinner that there was a rhino and it was making her "freak out". And when she said "freak out", she totally freaked out, opening her eyes up wide and throwing her hands in the air. This was a surprise. We were not aware that we had a rhino, but it seemed serious. Even more serious? Links to this post.

This is not how we traverse the Supercontinent. This is merely a Chrysler 300, suspended 100′ in the air by cables which I’ve removed with my pedestrian Photoshop skills. I shot this during a film production north of L.A. near Los Padres National Park, where I also ran over a squirrel. Laquo; Previous Post. The Importance of Being Angsty. Date : July 17, 2009. I saw that car flying over an orange grove one day last spring! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

In spite of enduring months of chemo, I remain “viable”, and my wife and I are expecting a baby next month (more on that to come, no doubt.). This date has come around eight times now, and as the years pass, some of the details of that incredible and painful time fade. But December 7, known more infamously as the day Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese, will for me always be my personal “date which will live in infamy”. Laquo; The Waffle House. Date : December 7, 2009. I have bookmarked this entry.

Max and Miles who, to Me, Will Always be Secretly Named "Gus": Cool Hand Max
http://maxthebaby.blogspot.com/2010/03/cool-hand-max.html
Max and Miles who, to Me, Will Always be Secretly Named "Gus". The blog about Max and his little brother, Miles. Stunningly cute boys and future leaders of the rebel forces. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. I don't know: somewheres about 3-5 times a year, this. Will get stuck in my head. It's quite catchy! Sad thing is, I only remember one line which I will sing over and over. Katie loves it when I sing one line from a song over and over and over. Loves it! The heartache. . . tonight. Posted by Fygar @ 7:05 AM.
