Friday, August 29, 2014. In the last 24 hours, I have :. Taken all of the kids to Target, Hobby Lobby, Sam's, Walmart and two Dollar Trees. Cooked taco meat to feed 18. Successfully made Chex Mix, toasted almonds, French bread, salsa, and southern caviar. Burned two batches of butterscotch brownies before giving up. Served my family breakfast, lunch and dinner. Washed, dried and folded three loads of laundry (with more to do). Talked to my mother at least three times. Must be vacation time. To be left out.

Thursday, September 13, 2012. We have been meaning to tie up with the Haistens all summer and we finally did a couple weekends ago. The Piersants came with us too! We had a late lunch at Steve's Landing and had a grand old time listening to the Birthday CD mix I had made for Casey and got left in the boat. The girls loved singing to Taylor Swift's new song. Girl's Day on the Lake. It was such a fun day! Christy loves her personal space so we decided to destroy it. The two pregnant ladies stayed dry.

They have had the unfortunate luck of having Liza Blake attend too many birthday parties where these same farm animals are the stars of the party. Thursday, January 3, 2013. These are in random order, taken from 3 different cameras and uploaded crazily but you will see that there were constant smiles on our first Disney Cruise! This was for Austin and I our first time to be on a cruise boat. We had low expectations. But I have to say that we had an absolute blast! We will definitely have to do this again soon! We went over Thanksgiving week and went with Kelly, McKenna, Don and Beverly. It was a fabulous time! We are so tired! Carly - 7 years.

Thursday, August 11, 2011. We made ice cream with milk and salt and ice in zip lock baggies. We saw Beauty and the Beast at Signal Mountain Playhouse. We had lots of fun with friends around town at the museum and aquarium. We played in lots of afternoon rain showers. Taken lots of naps. Made tons of trips to goodwill. Cool Swirl with friends after Little Gym camp. Watched the ladies play soccer. Mall playground when it's too hot to do anything else. Afternoon movie time while Liza naps. Carly - 7 years.

Saturday, August 15, 2015. It was one of those weeks when we all needed to get out and enjoy nature. So we loaded up the crew, stopped by the store for lunch fixin's, and headed to the mountains. Apparently my role was to photograph all the interesting finds along the way. The constant refrain was, "Mom, take a picture of this! That was just fine with me.
