I specialise in small plumbing repairs. I charge £50 for up to an hour (minimum), and then £10 per quarter hour. This is my labour charge for Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. The cost of parts is on top of that. For larger jobs, lasting 8 hours or more, I charge a flat rate of £40 per hour. I normally expect to be paid by the person who instructs me to do the work.
