Hamish's Travels

Friday, 7 September 2012. It took some email sabotage, a few phone calls and help from a Kiwi travel agent in Dundee but I managed to make it all work. Hamish's Travels: November 2011

http://hamishoe.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, 20 November 2011. Talking Turkey. Gobble Gobble Gobble. Excerpts, stories and experiences from my adventure in Turkey. The first thing people ask is was it hot? Where is your Tan? Well let’s just say I wasn’t travelling in peak tourist season. My dates in Turkey were 14th – 20th of November. It was very cold and for the first few day very wet. However when I ventured down to the Gallipoli peninsula the weather was fine but still brisk. I stayed in a hostel, world house Istanbul. This place wa...

Friday, 4 March 2011. New Zealand –. Two weeks in the Shaky Isles. We exited the UK from heathrow terminal 4. I was flying with Royal Brunei, the cheapest flight I could get! Saturday, 26 May 2012. 30th Birthday long weekend in Scotland…. Saturday morning the weather was picture perfect so after breakfast we headed to Edinburgh castle. The war memorial hall, the great hall of swords, Mollys cannon, the crown jewels and the stone of destiny! Back at the flat we readied ourselves for the showcase event, Kim’s end of year Dental Ball! Hayden had problems ...

Aileen and Nick also run a four star hotel called the Imperial Hotel in Great Yarmouth. This year Kim and I were invited down to the festival weekend to enjoy the occasion and support Aileen. Over the last few years I've been composing and designing sound for video games, and aim to become as proficient in audio middleware (e.g. Wwise) as I am in music/sound creation. In 2015 I was given an APRA Professional Development Award ($NZD10,000) to further this.

April 5, 2015. Salmond leaving as First Minister to be elected as a UK MP to sit in the House of Commons dictating UK wide policy. Part of a political system he slated with venom a few short months ago. Independence is indeed a noble aspiration but not if its to be run by deception for the benefit of a few and a great cost to the welfare and integrity of the good people of this land. April 5, 2015.
