The fun foibles of family life. We have a lot of fun and we'd like to share it with you. Sunday, May 30, 2010. As I've been thinking about what to say, a number of things have crossed my mind and it's hard to know where to start. The simplest thing to say is "Thank you" and I know for many, that can even be enough though the words feel so inadequate to me. But I think what is really on my heart is "thank you because I haven't had to.". Again, Thank You, Soldiers. Thursday, May 13, 2010. In Memory of Lynn...

The fun foibles of family life. We have a lot of fun and we'd like to share it with you. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Well, here we go again! These posts seem to be getting fewer and farther between! So, since the last post in June, we had a visit to Ohio, a number of trips to the zoo, opportunities to gain new friendships, and the kids continue to be as cute as can be! That has been life in a nutshell! JJ discovered the fun of the riding lawn mower at Grandma and Poppa's house. There were lots of bubbles,...

The fun foibles of family life. We have a lot of fun and we'd like to share it with you. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. It remains. Until today! I have gotten ambitious. Not only did I go through the apartment yesterday to find items to donate to the VA when they pick up on Friday, we now have the bookcase I've been waiting for! I can finally-after about a year and a half- can unpack the boxes that are sitting in the corner of our bedroom! It's a little dark, but I like it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The fun foibles of family life. We have a lot of fun and we'd like to share it with you. Monday, January 9, 2012. It's been about 9 months since my last post! I'm no less in love with my little boy and no less enthusiastic about my baby girl- you've probably stood and smiled and nodded or even chuckled along as I tell another story about Ally, JJ, or Kenzie. After all, I never let posting it to the blog or facebook stop me from retelling the story to anyone who seemed to want to listen! JJ is growing fas...

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life. O. Khayyam. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Collin continues to love hockey and will actually start in the Anoka program as a Mite this fall (pictures to come I am sure.). He also resumed swimming lessons this summer, completing the "torpedo" level and will be a "titan" next year. In addition to keeping up those interests, Collin asked to try something new.Karate! Picture-Before class with some friends). Trying hard and showing respect. What's taken so long?

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life. O. Khayyam. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Making the best of it. So, it's spring, huh? Ppened. A reminder from God that spring is, indeed, here after all? Here's a peek at how we've spent at least some of the last few months: Skating lessons have been fun for Collin and he is now "Sam 3" which he is very proud of. Rumor has it there is a hockey program in Anoka he'll be eligible for this fall, so I guess we'll see. We went ice fishing, but only once before ...

We never know the love of parents until we become parents ourselves." -Henry Ward Beecher. Thursday, December 27, 2012. Happy Birthday, Aiyana! It's hard to believe that Aiyana has been a part of our family for a whole year already. She has grown up so fast! In the past month she has added the words "Papa" (Grandpa), and "Nana" (Grandma) to her vocabulary and she's been trying really hard to say "ball.". Posted by Tina Callison. Hammill's Happenings
Sunday, February 12, 2012. With so much going on in our lives in the past couple of months, we seized. The opportunity to get away to Smuggler's Notch Vermont, a family ski resort, at the end of January for a bit of skiing and family fun. It was a deal we would have been stupid to pass up and best of all, our lovely friends Peggy, Jay, Katherine and Dominic were able to share the experience. Then our generous neighbors up there gave us 3 extra lift tickets, so we all skied for free. I can't say enough.
