Can I move to a remote, small cabin if I’m not a macho guy? March 5, 2015. OK, I’m not a 200 lb, 35 year old guy with bulging muscles, and I don’t know how to build a cabin. I don’t have heavy machinery to dig out a garden or basement. But, for tens of thousands of years humans have been living without diesel-powered machinery, and in any case, I can hire someone to build a small, simple cabin for me, that is, as long as it doesn’t cost too much; I’m not rich. Living in a remote area, with little or no electricity. January 23, 2015. So many blogs and articles on this topic go straight to how to buy a generator and install a giant solar generating system. This collection of information will focus on living mostly “wild”, but still using dentists, buying some wine and beer once in awhile, and shopping at the grocery store, while learning how to be more and more self-sufficient, as time goes on. A defunct and huge throne like composting toilet lurks in the tiny bathroom; everyone happily scaled the bushland precipice those first few weeks calling to nature until a tiny portable camping toilet miraculously made the journey up the river from aldi. September started out bad but got better. September 29th, 2011. United States, Illinois, Effingham. On the 9th of September, I received my Flexibears Beginner Set in the mail.
